FAQ Materials & Care

 GOLD PLATED JEWELRY

Jewelry Care To prolong the life of the jewelry and its plating, we suggest taking jewelry off before swimming, showering, exercising, washing hands, or before becoming in contact with perfume, lotion, alcohol, and any other chemicals.

Storage When you are not wearing your jewelry, try to store your jewelry in an air-tight container. Moisture, oxygen, and other chemicals can tarnish pieces if they are not properly stored. An easy solution is to use a bag such as a zip-lock bag.

GOLD-FILLED JEWELRY

What is gold-filled? Gold filled has 100x more gold than the typical gold-plated jewelry. Since it is made of natural gold, it is likely not to irritate sensitive skin.

Will my Jewelry tarnish? If taken care of correctly (see question below), gold-filled jewelry can last up to a lifetime. Sterling silver will tarnish if not properly stored; however, it is super easy to prevent and easily cleaned with polishing cloth.

What if I see a red or dark mark on my jewelry? When soldering jewelry, the copper within the jewelry, can come up to the surface and sometimes make a mark. The mark sometimes may not show up right away, but oxygen can bring the copper to the surface later on- but don't panic-this can easily be removed by a polishing cloth or a buffing file. If more assistance is needed, please feel free to contact us. We are here to help.

Is the Jewelry Nickel-free and hypoallergenic? Yes, our pieces are Nickle-free and hypoallergenic because it is made of .925 Sterling Silver, 14kt Gold Fill, or 14kt Rose Gold Fill.

How do I prolong the life of my Jewelry? When you are not wearing your jewelry, try to store your jewelry in an air-tight container. Moisture, oxygen, and other chemicals can tarnish pieces if they are not properly stored. An easy solution is to use a bag such as a zip-lock bag. Although our jewelry can be worn in the shower or pool, we recommend you try to limit your exposure to chemicals such as chlorine.

How do I take care of my jewelry? If your jewelry looks a little dull or not as full of life as it used to be, we suggest using a Polishing Cloth. As for cleaning, any jewelry cleaner will work great.
